The Harris Theater for Music and Dance played host for the 3Arts Awards, a festive night recognizing artists for their talent and community impact.
3Arts executive director Esther Grimm hosted the evening and welcomed the more than 600 attendees. Will Liverman, a Grammy Award-winning opera singer, took the stage with a powerful performance, followed by a dance excerpt presented by critically acclaimed choreographer Stephanie Martinez.
Ten Chicago artists were given an unrestricted grant of $30,000, and five previous awardees were given a second award of $50,000. Plus, last year’s Make a Wave recipients selected another 10 Chicago artists to each receive an unrestricted grant of $2,000.
