Burning Question
We gathered a trio of arts leaders and asked them: What’s the best thing you saw this year?
“Picking a favorite is tough. Kevin Maginnis’ Spun at Stuart & Co. Gallery and Claire Molek’s All Internal at Silent Funny were awesome shows to experience. I also had a blast at Sub Chroma from the peeps at Canvas. I want to go back into Lefty’s VR painted world ASAP.”
–Rich Alapack, Founder, We All Live Here
“The Art Encounter tour of the Rebuild Foundation and Stony Island Arts Bank, Theaster Gates’ extraordinary community project, was both moving
and exciting.”
–Joanna Pinsky, Founder/Artistic Director, Art Encounter
“I’m not sure which of the many aspects of the Kerry James Marshall: Mastry exhibit at the MCA was most compelling: seeing the evolution of this Chicago-based artist, his multilayered storytelling or the fact that now everyone who missed it here has to travel to NYC to see it... better hurry!”
