Each bottle of The Glenlivet Vintage 1967 arrives in a handstained bird’s-eye maple case.
The connoisseur of fine spirits who already has everything probably doesn’t have this: a bottle of The GlenlivetVintage 1967 ($25,000), the final installment in the single-malt-maker’s Winchester Collection series. The youngest of the oak casks used to age this rare juice was filled in December 1967, and it will now find a suitable home in a handblown, handpainted glass vessel, nestled in a maple case with copper and mother-of-pearl detailing. Only 150 bottles of this “unique expression” were made, says Sona Bajaria, vice president of marketing. “It allows the current generation to peek into the rich past of The Glenlivet.”
