The Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund celebrated a major milestone with its 35th Anniversary Ignite Potential Gala, commemorating decades of empowering students through education. Held at The Geraghty, the event was themed “Unveiling Dreams” and brought together a community united by a common goal: providing access to top-tier educational opportunities for students from under-resourced backgrounds.
The evening drew nearly 500 guests, including more than 100 Murphy Scholars and alumni who have benefited from the program, along with supporters and educators.
Over $1.65 million was raised to support Murphy Scholars’ journeys from high school to college and beyond. A key moment was the presentation of the Catalyst Award to Steve Elkins, who has mentored and advocated for Scholars for over 34 years. Additionally, Lindy and Mike Keiser made a $100,000 matching donation, effectively doubling the impact of contributions to the program.
