Historic Diwali Celebration in Chicago

Chicago celebrated its first-ever Diwali, a festival celebrated by billions around the globe to honor the victory of good over evil. For the festival, Vandana Walia of Vchilli Events converted Woodfield Mall into an "experience of India" with foods from various regions, Indian-inspired cocktails and desserts, dhol drummers, a fashion show and more. Celebrity singers and actresses from India made appearances, and hundreds of guests cheered along.
