To commemorate the end of its triumphant 68th season, The Joffrey Ballet hosted its largest annual fundraising event, themed “Midsummer Celebration.” The evening, held at City Hall Events and Recess, featured performances by company artists and offered signature cocktails. With photo opportunities aplenty and a lively dance floor, attendees mingled with performers while enjoying the summer solstice celebration.
Over 700 guests attended the event, which was hosted by Joffrey Ballet President and CEO Greg Cameron, Board Chair Anne L. Kaplan, and Mary B. Galvin Artistic Director Ashley Wheater MBE. Music and performances included live band BeatMix, DJ Megan Taylor and environment actors NewMoon and Stage Factor.
The event raised $1.9M to fund the free Joffrey For All performance and provide financial support to the Company dancers, the Academy of Dance and Community Education Programs.
