From blowouts to braids to party-ready makeup, these days there’s a beauty bar for just about every service. Chicago dentist Jessica Emery is adding one more to the mix: express teeth whitening. Aptly named White Haute, the smile-saving spot opens this fall adjacent to Emery’s spa-like dental practice, Sugar Fix Dental Loft. “With the trend emerging around cosmetic dentistry, everyone wants a nice, bright, clean smile,” Emery says. “Our goal is to create a fun environment around teeth whitening.” Unlike popular whitening treatments that require an appointment and time commitment, White Haute plays to your spontaneity: You simply stop in, select from the Flights of Bright menu and are done in less than an hour. Depending on how light you want togo, you can choose one to four flights, each lasting 15 minutes and brightening one to two shades. Because White Haute uses dental-prescribed gel, you can expect more noticeable results than you’d get with over-the- counter strips—and a much-improved experience, to boot. Emery even offers complimentary glasses of Champagne while you whiten (sorry, no red wine). “People want to feel great and look great,” she says, “but half of that comes from what they felt like here.” Sipping bubbles while beautifying? Sounds like a dental visit you’ll actually look forward to. Flights from $45, 3346 N. Paulina St.
