In celebration of 125 years dedicated to French education, culture and outreach, The Alliance Française de Chicago Women’s Board hosted Le Bal 125 at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago. The black-tie event drew nearly 400 notable guests and featured live music by the John Paris Band as well as a sumptuous French dinner. The eveningcontinued with an auction and a set by DJ Madrid at the festive afterparty.
Mary Ellen Connellan, director of AF Chicago, and honorary co-chair Catherine Hamilton were among the notables in attendance, along with Myriam Bransfield, who was awarded the Prix de l’Alliance Française de Chicago for her sustained dedication to the organization.
The raffle and auctionsurpassed AF’s fundraising goal by bringing in nearly $440,000, which will go toward the Alliance’s funds for education, language immersion for Chicago Public Schools and cultural offerings.
