Tyler sat behind Allie in Driver’s Education in high school, but the couple didn’t officially start spending time together until they were reintroduced by mutual friends after college. Tyler proposed on a beach surrounded by dolphins in South Carolina in 2020.
Allie and Tyler always bonded over their love of nature and wanted their wedding to reflect this. They chose The Farm at Dover as their venue because of its stunning natural beauty, vibrant blooms and greenery, and whimsical outdoor ceremony space. The property was breathtaking and the two-story barn - complete with a stone-walled, downstairs cocktail space and upper level decked out with glamorous chandeliers - made the perfect place to celebrate.
On their big day, the couple loved getting ready with their bridal party in the pink Victorian home that served as the bridal suite and the granary outfitted as a groom’s cabin on the property. They shared a private moment with a first look in a secret garden and then said “I do” in a wooded ceremony area with a backdrop of trees and romantic blooms. Artist Nicole Bobholz painted the ceremony live, impressing guests and leaving the couple with a beautiful art piece in remembrance of the day for their home.
Right before their wedding, Allie and Tyler purchased a new house, so they kicked off cocktail hour with signature cocktails that gave a nod to their new address. Following the grand march, the couple did a “two song dash,” where they had the length of two songs to snap a photo with guests at each table, which they later mailed to guests with their thank you cards.
“We’re so glad we got a photo with every single one of our guests to remember the day. Our wedding was all about celebrating our love and all of the love in our life. It was the most special day because we were surrounded by so much love,” the couple shares.
Following dinner and speeches, a family member sang Frank Sinatra’s L.O.V.E. for the couple and their guests and a dessert bar featuring sweet favorites was served. The weather was gorgeous and guests enjoyed the dancefloor and The Farm’s outdoor bar and gathering spaces all night long. Allie and Tyler ended the night with one more magical moment - a sparkler send off with their loved ones.
Following the wedding, the couple honeymooned in the Apostle Islands in northern Wisconsin and then moved into their new home.
“We are so grateful for our families and every single one of our vendors, especially The Farm at Dover, for helping us create the most magical, memorable day. Each of our vendors showed so much hospitality, creativity, and care. The Farm at Dover is the most magical place to get married and they go above and beyond with their customer service. We’re still receiving compliments on our venue almost a year after our wedding,” Allie says.
