House Party
This year’s Antiques + Modernism Show had a weekend of star power, including a VIP-studded Preview Party.
THE PARTY
The three-day Antiques + Modernism Show is a yearly must-do for designers and collectors. Organized by the Woman’s Board of the Winnetka Community House, the weekend-long show is filled with shopping, talks and parties, and raised over $100,000 for the historic community organization.
THE GUESTS
This year’s show saw one of the largest turnouts ever with more than 2,000 people attending events, including designers Frank Ponterio and Tom Stringer, who came for Preview Party cocktails with Alexa Hampton. The iconic international designer Hampton then went on to host a sold-out breakfast Friday morning, and style maker and entrepreneur India Hicks spoke to a sold-out crowd at Saturday’s lunch. Sunday saw local designer Michael Del Piero talking about travel, collecting and displaying one’s finds.
THE HIGHLIGHTS
Along with special events and talks, the show featured 50 renowned dealers who came from across the country to share not only their wares, but also their expertise and a chance to connect with longtime clients—a weekend of fun! ‒Kelley Czajka
