“Arranmore captured our hearts instantly,” the couple says. “Its picturesque setting, lush green grounds, willow trees, horses and charming white picket fences resemble a scene from a magazine.”
AFTER DENNY VARGHESE PROPOSED to Anvi Shah on a snowcapped mountain in Whistler, where they were dropped by helicopter, their wedding would need to be equally epic. And it was: The couple hosted 350 guests for a four-day celebration across Chicagoland. There was a sangeet in Carpentersville, a Hindu ceremony at Bolingbrook Golf Club, and a Christian ceremony in Wheaton.
The culmination was an unforgettable Western wedding reception at Arranmore Farm + Polo Club in Oswego. “We envisioned an atmosphere that seamlessly blended modern elegance with a touch of romance, inviting our guests on a journey to an unforgettable destination,” Anvi says. Arranmore allowed them to build the space of their dreams beneath a clear-topped tent and set against a sprawling green landscape. “With the creative expertise of Yanni Design Studio, we brought our vision to life with a stunning two-tiered flower chandelier suspended from the tent’s ceiling. As night fell, the soft glow of countless candles illuminated the tent with warmth and charm.”
Decor was stellar, but the couple’s greatest goal was a unique guest experience. “We were very intentional about managing the energy of the night and flow of the crowd,” Anvi says. “Having the bar on the dance floor helped keep the crowd centered around the music, which ultimately amplified the energy.” The DJ curated an off-the-charts atmosphere that raged long into the night, free of restrictions in such a remote setting. “I loved the feeling that we were transported to a completely different location,” Denny recalls. “After the reception, the structure was taken down and it was just land again. The experience was truly unique, built for this one night, and it will only live on in our—and our guests’—memories.”
The Hindu ceremony was held at Bolingbrook Golf Club.
“Despite having 350 guests, the remote setting lent an intimate vibe to our reception,” Anvi says.
The vanilla cake had strawberry buttercream.
Loved ones performed dances at the reception.
