Alexian Brothers Foundation’s wildly exciting annual Ball de Fleur raised nearly $800,000 in support of behavioral health services.
THE PARTY Embarking on an exotic evening, guests of the 32nd annual Alexian Brothers Ball de Fleur were welcomed to the Lincoln Park Zoo in glamorous fashion as they embarked on a safari under the stars. Partygoers got a good look at the grey seals at the Kovler Seal Pool as they indulged in a cocktail reception and gourmet dinner. THE PEOPLE Award-winning journalist Robin Robinson welcomed everyone as the evening’s emcee. Alexian Brothers Foundation board chair Michael Benoit delivered the touching invocation for the evening. THE PINNACLE Much to everyone’s delight, the zoo’s African lions made an appearance in their enclosure during dinner. Fittingly, the live auction generated plenty of excitement with unique items including a safari experience in Cape Town, South Africa. The gala concluded with live music by TC Squared as everyone danced the night away under twinkling lights and the night sky. -Leah Pentecost
