Fitness enthusiasts took a night off from the gym to fete the grand opening of Barry’s Bootcamp in Chicago.
THE PARTY
In the new 7,000-square-foot Barry’s Bootcamp Chicago facility, guests sipped Wansas tequila cocktails alongside the company’s staff and CEO Joey Gonzalez. Custom-designed to keep the original features of the industrial-style River North building, the space felt more like a modern, chic venue than an intense training gym—perfect for the lively cocktail party.
THE PEOPLE
More than 300 people snacked on bites from J&L Catering while exploring the many amenities of the flagship location. While DJ Rock City spun some tunes, attendees perused the gym’s clothing boutique and buzzed about the brand’s new, exclusive line of Chicago merchandise.
THE PINNACLE
Throughout the night, Gonzalez, a Chicagoland native, eagerly discussed the Windy City’s renewed focus on health and fitness as well as his excitement about bringing the Los Angeles-based Barry’s back home to Chicago. -Sadie Miller
