THE PARTY
The Glenkirk Benefit Brunch committee welcomed 300 guests to the Ravinia Green Country for its 16th annual brunch in honor and support of people with intellectual disabilities.
THE HIGHLIGHTS
Guests indulged in a Sunday brunch, which featured a dessert table filled with homemade goodies prepared by members of the Glenkirk Benefit Brunch committee. Hy Speck, a docent with the Chicago Architecture Foundation, entertained the crowd with an interactive presentation on the lives and loves of Frank Sinatra.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Since 1954, Glenkirk has helped people with developmental disabilities and their families, servicing more than 1,100 infants, children, adults and seniors each year through numerous programs. The foundation’s annual brunch raised $195,000 that will benefit its efforts to help people with disabilities work, recreate and use all local community resources.
