3rd Annual Grape + Grain Auction Raises Funds To Lift Youth From Poverty

A Better Chicago held its 3rd Annual Grape + Grain wine auction and charity Dinner, drawing an enthusiastic crowd dedicated to lifting youth from poverty. The evening kicked off with a Champagne and cocktail reception alongside appetizers curated by Michelin Star chef Curtis Duffy and chef de cuisine Joe Mishler.
The host committee featured Liam Krehbiel, founder of A Better Chicago and CEO of Topography Hospitality, alongside Shelly Sun Berkowitz, founder and executive chairwoman of BrightStar Group Holdings, Inc., who were joined by an exclusive crowd of more than 300 guests.
In addition to offering fine wines and rare whiskey, the live auction included tickets to the Joffrey Ballet and NASCAR, winery tours worldwide and a guitar signed by Taylor Swift. The event raised more than $800,000, which will be used to build innovative opportunities for Chicago’s underserved youth.
