Black Ensemble Theater celebrated 47 years of inspiring performances in Chicago at its Legacy Gala 2023: An Evening of Elegance to Support Excellence at the Black Ensemble Theater Cultural Center.
The nearly 250 guests included Caitlin Dobbins, Illinois State Representative Hoan Huynh and founder and CEO Jackie Taylor, who hosted the gala with support from sponsors such as Jim and Esther Bryan,Sam and Dona Scott and more.
Taylor spoke about the gala’s importance as the theater’s biggest annual fundraiser, which raised $300,000 to support the organization’s programming and educational outreach efforts.
