The Party: On the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy, the Italian American Chamber of Commerce-Midwest honored 18 Chicago-area restaurants with the Ospitalità Italiana seal for their high levels of authenticity. The Players: Co-hosted by the Milan Committee of Chicago Sister Cities International, the evening recognized Piccolo Sogno, Tocco, Volare, Coco Pazzo, Spiaggia and many more. The Highlights: Guests enjoyed signature dishes from several of the restaurants as well as a cake modeled after the Vittorio Emanuele II monument in Rome. After all, what’s a birthday bash without a huge cake?
