Burdeen’s 120 E. Oak St. storefront
For nearly 45 years, timepiece retailer Burdeen’s Jewelry has established itself as a prominent player in the Chicago-area jewelry scene. Now, the brand is making waves in the luxury market with a storefront on one of the city’s most luxurious avenues at 120 E. Oak Street. Adding to Burdeen’s downtown presence on Michigan Avenue and Walton Street with three exclusive watch boutiques within the prestigious Waldorf Astoria (plus its Buffalo Grove flagship), the newly unveiled boutique boasts exclusive brands, rare timepieces and a sprawling, 13,000-square-foot open layout—designed by Hirsch MPG and JGA. As visitors enter the shop through grand double doors, they are met with luminous glass floors, a two-story digital wall and avant-garde screens highlighting renowned timepiece brands, including Tudor, Glashütte Original, Omega and Grand Seiko.

“What makes Burdeen’s truly special is its unwavering dedication to creating memorable experiences. As a leader in the luxury market, Burdeen’s doesn’t just sell jewelry and watches; we create relationships, memories, and moments that last a lifetime,” says Selma Kapic, brand manager at Burdeen’s Jewelry. “With an impressive selection of high-end fine jewelry, including fashion and bridal jewelry as well as timepieces from 14 luxury brands, there’s something for every budget and taste.”
In the bookended IWC Schaffhausen and Panerai flagship stores, visitors can peruse Swiss and Italian-made timepieces and shop for bespoke store exclusives. Touted to carry one of the largest selections of pre-owned watches in the Midwest, Burdeen’s 4,000-square-foot second floor holds vintage watch displays, an event space and an on-site watchmaker for refurbished watch repairs and customizations.
