Leaning into the pink palette, floral designer Christine Janda used lily of the valley, gardenia, roses and hydrangeas for decor.
The happy newlyweds recessed down the aisle.
THE COUPLE Carrie Coletta and Joseph Benson were set up by a mutual friend and dated for four years before Joe proposed over a romantic birthday dinner in 2019. Their wedding three years later was pretty in pink—down to the bride’s gorgeous custom gown.
THE DETAILS The couple’s ceremony entrances were extra special. “When Joe walked down the aisle, a spontaneous round of applause broke out among the 250 guests,” remembers photographer Liz Banfield. Then the bride got the walk down the aisle she’d always dreamed of as a string quartet played. After the emotional ceremony, the newlyweds made their exit in a floral-decked golf cart.
THE PARTY Following a patio cocktail hour, the country club’s interior was bedecked in pink and white florals inspired by Carrie’s gown, with metallic silver and gold accents. A luscious dinner was followed by cake and bananas Foster; then the bride changed into a feathered party dress to open up the dance floor. “We partied until 1 a.m.,” Joe says,” and there was White Castle at the end of the evening.”
Carrie wore custom earrings of white gold, morganite and diamonds designed specifically to match her dress.
The invitation suite featured a pink floral envelope liner, vellum wrap and wax seal.
