C'est La Vie

Hostess extraordinaire Julia van Nice and Barneys New York whisked guests away to France with an intimate luncheon celebrating fashion journalist Kate Betts’ new memoir, My Paris Dream. Betts—whose career includes memorable stints at Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue, as well as a critically acclaimed first book, Everyday Icon: Michelle Obama and the Power of Style—read an excerpt from My Paris Dream and chatted about her inspiring time abroad as well as the rewarding (and sometimes trying!) process of writing a memoir. Guests walked away with a copy of the book and a treat from Chanel. Très chic! –Photos by Barry Brecheisen
