The ChiArts Kerfuffle! fundraiser, benefiting The Chicago High School for the Arts, was recently hosted at hot West Loop venue Morgan Manufacturing. The event featured remarks from school and foundation leaders; opportunities for alumni networking; and performances by ChiArts scholar-artists from its five conservatories, including poetry stations, original portraits for guests and a wide array of exciting music, dance and theater performances.
Samera Ludwig, a ChiArts Foundation board member, and Mirja Spooner, chair of the ChiArts Foundation Board, co-chaired the event. Carol Prins and John Hart were recognized as the 2024 recipients for their exceptional contributions to the community.
Guests enjoyed a raffle for an exclusive private dinner and wine pairing for 10 sponsored by Limelight Catering. The event raised over $450k to support ChiArts’ five arts conservatories, benefiting more than 600 scholar-artists from all 50 Chicago wards.
