The Comedy Bar, Chicago’s only downtown stand up comedy club, celebrates ten years of laughs in the Windy City on August 11th of this year. Having started in River North, the venue now lives at 162 E Superior St above their pizza partners, Gino’s East, just off the Magnificent Mile. Show guests are able to enjoy stand up comedy shows every night of the week along with an authentic Chicago dinner experience from Gino’s, whose full menu is served right at the table. The Comedy Bar’s new location also features an unmatched rooftop deck looking over Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood.
“What a decade!” says owner/creator of The Comedy Bar, Kyle Lane “Looking back now, ten years feels like a lifetime ago. We are so grateful to be able to celebrate this anniversary, especially with how difficult the past couple years have been for many businesses in our industry. When we started this back in 2011, I never thought we’d be where we are today and I’m extremely proud of my team and the comedy community for everything we’ve accomplished together up until this point.”
To celebrate a decade of laughter, The Comedy Bar will be hosting a showcase of their favorite comedians through the years at a one-night-only event on August 11th at their downtown Chicago venue. Tickets are a special price of $10 each for general admission seating and will include a swag bag for every guest in attendance that evening. The very special line up includes names like Sean Flannery (Comedy Central), Brian Babylon (NPR), Mike Lebovitz (NBC’s Last Comic Standing) and many more special guests! Tickets can be purchased at comedybar.com.
