The Chicago Scots, Illinois’ first and oldest nonprofit organization, hosted its 177th annual Saint Andrew’s Day Gala, The Feast of the Haggis, at the Chicago History Museum.
Three hundred guests celebrated Scotland and Scottish heritage over a cocktail reception, dinner catered by Food for Thought, live entertainment by Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s Negaunee Music Institute and its Civic Orchestra Fellowship Program, and more. Richard Colburn, Negaunee Foundation president, was presented with the evening’s highest honor, the Distinguished Citizen Award.
The high-spirited event raised more than $150,000 to benefit the organization’s principal charity, Caledonia Senior Living and Memory Care in North Riverside.
