THE PARTY Kohl Children’s Museum got a head start on festivities—generating excitement about the upcoming 30th anniversary gala with a private cocktail reception. The Women’s Board hosted the VIP kickoff event, and Dolores Kohl Kaplan graciously offered her home in Highland Park for the party. THE PEOPLE Sixty of the museum’s lead supporters gathered at the founder’s residence for mingling and cocktails. Among the many notable guests were Kohl President and CEO Sheridan Turner as well as Women’s Board President Bethany Crocker. THE PINNACLE The museum, recently named one of the country’s 10 best children’s museums, will be celebrating its 30-year anniversary at the Oct. 17 gala, An Evening to Imagine. The night also marks 10 years since the state-of-the-art Glenview facility opened, continuing the museum’s mission to encourage young children to become effective learners. A special night, indeed! –Photos by Robin Subar
