Dance With Me

| June 6, 2016 | Parties

THE PARTY More than 700 guests gathered at Roosevelt University’s Auditorium Theatre for a one-of-a-kind performance highlighting Joffrey Ballet’s 60th anniversary season. Dedicated to Robert Joffrey, the show featured Mammatus, with music by Michael Gordon, as well as a breathtaking pas de deux from Othello. THE PEOPLE When the curtains closed, the fashionable crowd made its way via trolley down to the Hilton Chicago, where the storied hotel’s Grand Ballroom was bedecked in peach tulips and glimmering votives. Following dinner crafted by Executive Chef Mario Garcia, high-profile attendees like Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Chicago Ballet Arts co-director Patti Eylar, and fashion designers Maria Pinto and Pamella DeVos mixed and mingled over Champagne and wine. THE PINNACLE By the night’s end, guests raised more than $1 million to help positively impact the lives of children and young adults through the art of dance. Bravo! –Photos by Dan Rest
