Giordano Dance Chicago hosted its 16th annual Dancing With The Giordano Stars ballroom competition at Park West in honor of the company’s 61st season. More than 400 attendees were treated to crowd-pleasing performances by all stars from the past 15 years.
CBS2 Chicago anchor Ryan Baker emceed, and star host Candace Jordan was joined by guest judges including Irma Suárez Ruiz, Kevin McGirr and Lauren Warnecke. Best Male Dancer and Best Female Dancer awards were presented to Mario Sullivan and Sheri Passalino, respectively, while Tina Monaghan won both the Audience Favorite and Top Fundraiser awards.
The money raised will support GDC’s Jazz Dance/Science & Health program in Chicago Public Schools, jazz dance advocacy and youth mentorship programs.
The night’s winners posed with their well-earned disco balls post-show.
