| April 4, 2013 | Parties

THE PARTY Joffrey Ballet dancers created six world premiere dances to benefit Embarc Chicago, a nonprofit providing real-world experiences to Chicago’s underprivileged youth via field trips, seminars and workshops. The intimate performance was followed by heartfelt remarks from two high school students in the program. THE PLAYERS The sold-out event was co-hosted by Joffrey Ballet Artistic Director Ashley Wheater and Director of Special Projects for the U.S. Department of Education Timothy John Tuten. Sponsors included Leo Burnett and kCura. THE SCENE Kehoe Designs transformed the dance studio into a relaxing lounge, where guests enjoyed Journeyman whiskey, Letherbee gin and wine tastings with hors d’oeuvres from Fig Catering.
