Graff Diamonds welcomed trustees and friends of the Museum of Contemporary Art to a private cocktail party kicking off the MCA’s 50th anniversary festivities.
THE PARTY Graff’s dazzling Oak Street showroom was draped with floral garlands in an intimate celebration of the MCA’s 50th anniversary and the opening of the Takashi Murakami: The Octopus Eats Its Own Leg exhibit. The party also served as the unveiling of Graff’s Enchanted Garden exhibition, showcasing nature-inspired jewels and timepieces designed by Graff’s master craftsmen.
THE PEOPLE MCA director Madeleine Grynsztejn and Chief Curator Michael Darling celebrated the museum’s accomplishments with members of the board of trustees, including Eve Rogers, Chicago director of Graff.
THE PINNACLE Guests sipped Champagne while trying on gems—some of which were flown in from London for the event. “The reception was certainly an amazing combination of friends—and the most fabulous Graff jewels Chicago has ever seen,” said Tom Wood, a Graff sales executive. As a sponsor of the MCA’s anniversary ArtEdge: 50 gala, Graff toasted the event’s co-chairs and wished the museum continued success. A gem of an evening all around. -Jaclyn Jermyn
