THE PARTY Considered by many to be the party that kicks off the North Shore summer social season, more than 600 garden lovers attended the annual Chicago Botanic Garden’s Antiques & Garden Preview Evening under tents at the Garden. THE HIGHLIGHTS Stunning indoor display gardens interpreting the theme “Color in the Garden: An Artist’s View” were donated by five Chicago area designers, including Craig Bergmann Landscape Design and Mariani Landscape. Jewell Events prepared delicious bites presented in a garden theme on green food carts for guests as they shopped an exquisite array of antiques from 120 American and European exhibitors. In attendance were preview evening co-chairs Kimberly and Randy Burt, Peggy and Jack Crowe, Kathy and Chris Deveny, and Kate and J.T. Fitzgerald. Design industry veteran and Garden Fair honorary chair and lecturer Michael S. Smith also attended the preview party.
