The Party: Bruce and Vicki Heyman co-chaired the 20th annual Facing History and Ourselves benefit dinner for more than 800 business and civic leaders at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. The Players: Co-founder Judy Wise, Tom Wilson, Penny Pritzker and Steve Koch sipped cocktails while Mayor Rahm Emanuel spoke about Chicago’s schools’ need for support. The Bottom Line: The organization, which aims to inform a more humane citizenry through education, has reached more than 280,000 students since opening its local office in 1990. This event raised $1.4 million.
