THE PARTY Chicago’s top chefs competed in Common Threads’ first annual Cook-Off at Fulton's on the River. THE PLAYERS Chefs and mixologists—among them Giuseppe Tentori of GT Fish & Oyster, Sable Kitchen & Bar's Chris Cavarra, Sarah Grueneberg of Spiaggia, Lockwood’s Greg Elliott and Scott Halverson of Prasino—prepared a fave cookout-themed dish in one of four categories: in a glass, on a bun, in a shell or on a stick. THE BOTTOM LINE Throughout the evening, more than 300 guests packed into the riverfront space, and the evening benefited Common Threads' programs to teach low-income children about cooking wholesome, affordable meals.
