THE PARTY Millennium Park served as the stunning venue for Designers of the Chicago Fashion Incubator presented by Macys, an evening hosted by Committee members Marcus Riley, Kevin Hauswirth, Nicole Loftus and Stephanie Neely consisting of a fundraiser runway exclusive, showcasing the 2011 designers-in-residence and alumni as they debut their Spring 2012 collections. THE HIGHLIGHTS VIP guests enjoyed an exclusive cocktail pre-party, where the anticipation only escalated as the kick-off headlining runway exclusive drew nearer. The amazing show consisted of collections from the “names-you-need-to-know” at CFI including the 2011 designers-in-residence. The already breath-taking atmosphere was topped off with special live performances by DJ Megan Taylor of Fig Media, The Gold Coast All Stars and Violinst, Katarina Visnevska. THE BOTTOM LINE The event was part of Fashion Focus, a week-long celebration of Chicago’s thriving fashion industry that showcases some of the city’s top designers. All proceeds from the evening benefited the Chicago Fashion Incubator, a four-year old program, which nurtures designers, providing all of the tools they will need to survive within the industry.
