Fashion's Big Night

| October 28, 2011 | Parties

THE PARTY Fashion's Night Out took Chicago by storm with events all over the city and, of course, CS was there to catch the best (and best-dressed!) moments. THE SCENE Gilt City and CS magazine hosted celeb stylist Brad Goreski at 900 North Michigan Shops, where guests enjoyed bites from Cibo Matto, David Burke's Primehouse and more, as well as a fashion show featuring collections from Bloomingdale's, Karen Millen, DNA2050, L.K.Bennett, Space519 and Mark Shale. And the Tzar VIP lounge served up Grey Goose vodka cocktails and passed canap├ęs by Cork Catering. Neiman Marcus hosted more than 2,000 for a fashion show—complete with local artists illustrating the latest fashion trends—and restaurant tastings. A few steps down the Mag Mile, AllSaints patrons shopped the edgy British brand over cocktails by Tanteo and a DJ set by Avi Sic. While models at The Shops at North Bridge showed off the season's hottest trends, guests were stopped by Chicago's top bloggers to be featured online, and the evening’s most stylish were rewarded with gift cards. Guests at the Shrine Haberdashers and Sebastien Grey Custom Clothiers' celebration sipped in style as tailors from Sebastien Grey were on hand to advise the fellas on how to purchase their next suit. Guests enjoyed specialty cocktails and a tasting of Spicebox Whisky while Shrine's experts showed off its collection of one-of-a-kind bow ties, hats, suspenders and cuff links. And over on Wabash Avenue, Sarca welcomed guests with drinks and petite macarons, and Luxury Garage Sale popped up in the boutique to showcase vintage and resale designer handbags and costume jewelry. THE HIGHLIGHTS Water Tower Place hosted two weeks of events leading up to its Fashion's Night Out festivities. During In-Fashion: The Magnificent Mile Shopping Festival, Bravo TV's Real Housewives—Gretchen Rossi, LuAnn de Lesseps and Teresa Giudice—chatted with guests in the In-Fashion Lounge, which welcomed those who donated new or gently used items to Dress for Success.
