1. Jan. 26: First Bites Bash
The official start of Chicago Restaurant Week showcases sweet and savory tastings from more than 60 CRW participants, along with beer, wine and cocktail pairings. 5:30pm. Tickets $125. Navy Pier’s Aon Grand Ballroom

2. Jan 27th-28th: Batsheva Dance Company
Israel’s acclaimed modern troupe performs provocative and timely choreography. 7:30pm. Tickets $35-$125. Harris Theater

3. Jan. 31-Feb. 12: The Bodyguard
R&B Grammy nominee Deborah Cox portrays the pop diva in the romantic musical thriller based on the iconic 1992 Warner Bros. film. Times vary. Tickets $16-$77. Oriental Theatre

4. Feb. 4: Jackie Chan’s Long Yun Kung Fu Troupe
Artistry and athleticism are the hallmark of this Beijing group founded by the famed actor and film director. It combines elements of traditional kung fu, ballet and modern dance in a program called 11 Warriors. 7:30pm. Tickets $33-$155. Auditorium Theatre

5. Feb. 11 through 2018: L’Affichomania: The Passion for French Posters
The new exhibition celebrates poster art of the belle epoque (1875 to 1910) with 45 works created by five grand masters, including Toulouse-Lautrec. Tickets $20. Driehaus Museum
