THE PARTY More than 350 guests gathered in Glencoe to celebrate the Chicago Botanic Garden’s 40th anniversary at the ninth annual Summer Dinner Dance. THE PLAYERS Event co-chairs Elizabeth and Timothy Dugan of Kenilworth, Tricia and Will Hagenah of Kenilworth, and Helen and Dick Thomas of Winnetka welcomed guests from Chicago and the North Shore, such as Chicago Botanic Garden President and CEO Sophia Siskel and Jon Siskel, Tom and Colette Smithburg, Bill and Maria Smithburg, Errett and Julia Van Nice, Ted and Amy Zook, and Michael and Kimberley Moore. THE SCENE The black-tie soirée began with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the Linden Alleé courtesy of Calihan Catering, followed by an intimate dinner dance in the Rose Garden. The pavilion was peppered with pink and red rose arrangements by Heffernan Morgan Designs. The Ken Arlen Orchestra played while guests danced the night away.
