THE COUPLE Tasked with coordinating an interview with a soccer superstar, CBS Sports talent manager Jenna Medvigy reached out to agent (and former Chicago Fire player) Cory Gibbs. “After a brief, professional conversation, Cory and I decided it would be a good idea to meet and network further,” Jenna remembers. “From the moment we met, our worlds collided.”

THE DETAILS The couple postponed their December 2023 wedding when they learned they’d be welcoming a son that same week. In July, 6-month-old Kenzo served as ring bearer for their ceremony, which featured white florals and cherry blossoms as a nod to the bride’s Japanese heritage.

THE PARTY Guests hit the tables in a casino room while the ballroom was flipped for a vibrant reception. A five-tier cake descended from the floral ceiling installation as a surprise to guests. “Our wedding planner worked with the venue engineers on producing this epic moment,” Jenna says. “It was such a unique and exciting display.” And with salted caramel custard and chocolate ganache, it was also the sweetest cherry on top of the perfect night.
