THE PARTY Over 200 guests gathered at The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago for the 35th annual Friends of La Rabida Awards Celebration in support of La Rabida Children’s Hospital to raise funds and celebrate serving children for over 125 years. The event honored leaders who have shown a commitment to children with special healthcare needs and raised an impressive $715,000. THE PEOPLE The evening was sponsored by Berglund Construction, Joseph and Bessie Feinberg, William and Peggy Gann, and Dan and Susan Real, with the festivities emceed by ABC 7’s Ravi Baichal for the 10th consecutive year. La Rabida patient Ja’miya was featured as someone who has made incredible progress in their journey to health and wellness. THE PINNACLE Attendees enjoyed a cocktail reception and dinner, followed by the live broadcast awards ceremony. This year, the hospital recognized many tremendously supportive organizations, such as the Walt Disney Co. with the corporate partnership award and Andrea Zopp with the community support award.
