Gemini's New Menu and Reopening Celebration

| June 2, 2017 | Parties

Foodies took a bite out of Gemini’s new menu at its reopening celebration.

THE PARTY Gemini threw open its doors to celebrate the end of extensive renovations. The Lincoln Park favorite debuted its expanded bar and slimmer name (it’s dropped the “Bistro”) while attendees enjoyed the new draft beer and custom cocktail list.

THE PEOPLE Gemini’s owners, Ryan O’Donnell and Pauly Graves, welcomed old fans and new friends alike to check out their new and improved digs. Lively tunes were provided by local musician Michael “Stu” Stoinski, aka Piano Stu, a familiar face for Gemini regulars.

THE PINNACLE Guests sampled dishes from chef Miguel Ortiz’s refined menu, including chorizo empanadas, duck confit nachos and lamb naan toast. They also indulged in drinks crafted by Graves, a longtime bartender, who bases his concoctions on stories from his travels. A crowd favorite was the Squirtsky, an on-draft cocktail based on the signature drink that he and O’Donnell used to serve at their college parties. -Amanda Hermans
