Glam Squad

The Party
There are very few events that hold such a place in stylish Chicagoans’ social calendars as Glamorama, and this year was no disappointment. Enjoying the theme of Fashion Rocks, more than 1,500 attendees packed the Harris Theater for an exciting and theatrical runway spectacle featuring the best of Macy’s fall fashions, in support of the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

The People
The guest of honor was no doubt 10-year-old Samantha Roberson, whose inspiring story and role as ambassador to RMHC garnered a standing ovation. Other highlights included the always anticipated Diesel underwear presentation, which brought the audience to their feet with a hilarious light show, set to Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” revealing the scantily clad male models. But while that portion of the show received much fanfare, attendees buzzed all night about the darling troupe of child hip-hop dancers decked out in Hello Kitty apparel.

Best in Show
Following a headliner performance by Jason Derulo (and a grand-finale confetti dumping that left guests sparkling all night), VIPs moved to the rooftop terrace for an after party featuring dancing, model-mingling and a delicious buffet of bite-size bites by Stephanie Izard. -Bettcher Photography
