The opening-night party for the exhibit Maker & Muse: Women and Early Twentieth Century Art Jewelry at the Driehaus Museum attracted a crowd of dazzling guests eager to see the 250 stunning examples of jewelry inspired by women. Cocktails in hand, the partygoers compared notes on which historic piece was the most desirable, from the daring brooch with the nude female form to the exceptional works by Chicago’s own Clara Barck Welles. The gorgeous jewelry no doubt proved inspirational to the fashion-forward guests (we certainly took some tips!). Now, that’s a glamorous evening. -Photos by Michael Monar
