The Children’s Service Board’s annual Gold Coast Fashion Award Show helped bring relief to underserved Chicago families.
THE PARTY Hosted at Revel Fulton Market, the fashionable fundraiser started off with cocktails by Almighty Spirits and bites catered by Chicago hot spots like Aba and Barrio. Partygoers took delight in a high-fashion presentation from Neiman Marcus Michigan Avenue, a longtime sponsor of the event, and lifted their paddles high for a live auction. THE PEOPLE Children’s Service Board President Megan Hodes made sure the event ran smoothly with help from show co-chairs Allyson Becker and Alison Heyman. Beloved local teacher Pat Ebervein accepted the second annual Award of Excellence on behalf of the School Services Program, the evening’s honoree. THE PINNACLE Now in its 63rd year, the Gold Coast Fashion Award Show raised more than $1.2 million—nearly half of the Children’s Service Board’s fundraising goal for the next two years—all to benefit the Lurie Children’s Hospital Department of Family Services in its work to enrich local lives through programs like music therapy and social work. - Emma Enderle
