What sets your brand apart?
Like any brand that has lasted, creating trust and an emotional bond is essential for the continuance of standing out- a relational experience, so to say. For some 20 years, Cake Chicago a.k.a CAKE has built our reputation on "It's our pleasure", "Thank You", ''Greetings from CAKEland!" plus a great deal of sharing laughs, tears and CAKE faces. Honored to work with some of the industry's finest planners and venues with a consistent program of indisputable culinary quality and artistic flair, it does take a team you know! A handwritten note, photos of glorious CAKE faces sent, getting pinned up on what our couples know as "the wall", little additions to the family, a new degree completed, a diagnosis update - uniquely, we have managed to humanize our story so others can be a part of the company's history. It doesn't get much more special than that!
Something we strive for?
I could say excellence but that's pretty boring...We always strive for the most unique and magical memory experience not to be forgotten. The kind you refer to when talking with others- something that you want to share with fondness and excitement! It puts a smile on your face just dreaming of every bite, that memory of the flavors chosen to share with all the guests at a celebration- the "I can't wait to order another CAKE cake!" ...Now that makes all of us at CAKE humble and happy all over!
Who inspires me?
I can't imagine any one person being inspirational unless it is a mom or dad or God- you figure it out as you get older... True inspiration never really stops. My brain is like Einstein ran into Michelangelo and DeVinci at the Met- very specific I'd say. I can't blame that on anyone! But thinking back over the years, I did have a wonderful prof, Mr Andrini. His teaching solidified my love-journey into medicine and science and I never looked back.

Big news?
In the near future, we are physically expanding, giving some artwork a facelift and adding new lines to our popular gourmet confections series- including more Gluten Free. We have been listed a few times as a top bakery and recently ranked as one of the top online/mail order cookie companies. We believe in possibilities. More to share or as some customers write me to express 'definitely not sharing'! Like I mentioned, it takes a TEAM...
