Grooming Brides

| April 7, 2014 | Parties

With their maids and mothers in tow, VIP brides-to-be descended upon the Waldorf Astoria Chicago for Belle Vie Bridal Couture’s Fashion FĂȘte 2014. Flutes of Mionetto Champagne were circulated before the crowd gathered in the Sinclair Ballroom to view the latest gowns from Valentino, J. Mendel, Reem Acra, Douglas Hannant, Amsale and more. Later, bridal insiders sojourned to the Hemingway Salon to be tempted by pear tatin, lobster ravioli and black-truffle ice cream, courtesy of Executive Chef Herve Cuyeu. Equally impressive: More than 900 South American Esperance tea roses were used to execute the night’s magnificent decor by Taylor & Co. –Photos by Sum Lau
