THE PARTY Chicago Sinfonietta kicked off its 25th anniversary season with its annual black-tie masked ball, Celebrating the Color of Sounds. The Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park welcomed 550 guests donning masks, including emcee Hosea Sanders, and co-chairs Maria Green and Sandra Rand, who along with her daughter Deven, wore a one-of-a-kind headpiece made for the event. THE SCENE The evening concluded with a performance by the Chicago Sinfonietta, directed by Maestro Mei-Ann Chen and featuring special guest artists Eric Goldberg and Shuya Gong. In total, the benefit raised nearly $500,000 for the orchestra and its education initiative, SEED (Student Ensembles with Excellence and Diversity).
