Engagement rings mark one of life's most meaningful moments. With sparkling intricacies and a message of love, a single ring can tell a whole story.
With that in mind, the House of Harry Winston has released a new engagement ring collection, set to showcase in Chicago for brides to find that custom ring to fit their one-of-a-kind moments.
The Bridal Couture capsule collection of diamond engagement rings is inspired by the delicate details of a wedding gown. It consists of eight designs and boasts a variety of diamond cuts, and each ring bridges the connection between the ring, the gown and the bride.
The gown is one of the most prolific symbols of a wedding, but it is the engagement ring that brings the bridal look altogether. From hand-drawn sketches and only the finest materials and craftsmanship, this custom collection marries the design process of the two arts, revolving around various elements of the bride's wedding day ensemble.
One design mirrors the corset lacing on a couture gown with a pear-shaped diamond center stone elegantly draped between two interlacing diamond ribbons. Another mimics the open-weave fabric of Chantilly lace with an emerald-cut diamond flanked within a cluster of marquise and pear-shaped diamonds.
Celebrating the moment two become one, this collection honors connection with a classic symbol of unity. With a one-of-a-kind setting, a cushion-cut center stone is completed with round brilliant diamonds that are set into a meaningful love knot motif.
Winston even looked to the intricacies of the wedding veil—the final piece of the bridal look—to create two rings inspired by its artistry.
First influenced by the embroidery on Chantilly lace, a round center stone is set between two overlapping ribbons of mixed cut diamonds. Each line of diamonds then gracefully wraps around the platinum band, mimicking the movement of the lace throughout the bride's veil.
The second veil-inspired design conjures the image of the veil as it frames the bride's face upon the reveal. An emerald-cut diamond is placed in a halo with baguette diamond accents that emphasize the beauty of the center stone.
The collection will be available at the Harry Winston Oak Street location from Thursday, April 7, to Sunday, May 1. Visit harrywinston.com to learn more.
