What motivated you to start your business?

We created Bella Bianca out of a desire to elevate the wedding gown shopping experience in Chicago to a more personal, bride-focused process from beginning to end. Fourteen years later, our focus on client experience still motivates our every decision, including the expansive variety of gowns we feature, the highly personal in-store experience we deliver and the skilled team members who we proudly call our Bella Bianca family.

Tell us what makes your business stand out.

Brides shopping at Bella Bianca have access to the largest variety of bridal collections in the Chicago area. We showcase a spectrum of designers, from some of the biggest fashion houses in bridal to those more boutique, niche brands. We are very intentional with the collections we feature because we understand that a woman’s time is valuable. When brides invest time in shopping with us, we want to ensure they have depth of choices across a variety of bridal styles and trends. From there, our stylists are experts in translating a bride’s vision to the perfect assortment of gowns.

What should a bride bring to a consultation in your salon to make it most successful?

We encourage brides to do their research in selecting just a few bridal salons to visit to not become completely overwhelmed by the process. There is such a thing as over shopping! Select the salons that offer the designers, client reviews and price points that align with what you are looking for. Attend appointments with some general ideas about aesthetics you both love and don’t love so that your stylist can make the absolute best use of your time together. Be sure to have those guests with you who are most important to your decision-making process. From there, sit back, have some fun, and trust in the professionals you’ve selected to help you find the perfect gown!

What is your favorite trend for weddings currently?

We absolutely love that pearls are having a major moment again, and not just when it comes to jewelry and accessories. Designers across the board are showcasing stunning pearl beaded gowns, veils and even pearl encrusted gloves which are another amazing Fall 2022 trend that we saw on the runways of Bridal Fashion Week.

What do you think is essential for any wedding?

Well of course we think an amazingly styled bride is essential! Our advice on finding that essential element is for brides to embrace the journey and be open to trying styles that peak their interest, while also listening to their hearts. Ultimately, we truly believe that a bride’s wedding gown should reflect her personality and personal style, just elevated a bit for the big day.
