The Party
Music lovers gathered at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago for an insightful discussion, led by Pitchfork Senior Editor Jessica Hopper, with singer-songwriter Annie Clark (better known by her stage name, St. Vincent). The Q&A session marked the penultimate showing of the uberpopular David Bowie Is exhibit and highlighted the profound influence the British icon has had on Clark’s art and career.
The People
Following the event, an intimate dinner was held at mod Logan Square juice bar Owen + Alchemy, where founder Anne Owen chatted the night away with the MCA’s Michael Green and Heidi Reitmaier. Also in attendance: Matthew Clark and Michael Renaud of Pitchfork, Intuit Executive Director Joel Mangers and gallery owner Monique Meloche.
Best in Show
Foxglove Studio transformed the space, lining the tablescapes with fresh succulents and natural crystals. The menu, created by local restos The Winchester and The Radler, kicked off with a cold-pressed juice flight and featured dishes like kelp noodle salad and roasted baby beets with mettwurst. To cap off the night, guests savored chocolate bread pudding, expertly paired with a Revolution Eugene porter. It rocked! –Photos by Carolina Mariana Rodriguez
