Huntington Bank hosted the 30th annual Green Tie Ball to benefit Chicago Gateway Green and the Chicago Sports Museum. The nearly 900 stylish attendees were encouraged to pair black- tie attire with their coolest kicks. Plus, customization brand The Sole Revival was on-site for anyone who wanted to upgrade their shoes.
Joanna DePorter and Meg Newton Satherlie co- chaired the event, while Cortney Hall, host of NBC5 Chicago Today, and Chris Petlak of 101.9’s The Morning Mix emceed. Other notable guests included Taylor Kinney of Chicago Fire, former Bulls broadcaster Tom Dore, former Chicago Bear Jerry Azumah and Chicago Gateway Green Chairman Grant DePorter. Additionally, the honorary host committee consisted of local female sportscasters including ESPN’s Sarah Spain and Marquee Sports Network’s Taylor McGregor.
Guests competed for prizes in games of pingpong, darts and foosball. Attendees also participated in live and silent auctions and enjoyed gourmet hors d’oeuvres from Harry Caray’s Catering and Events, as well as live entertainment from Chicago’s top DJs and cover band Dr. Bombay, which features Chicago Gateway Green Vice Chairman Lee Golub on drums.
