With intricate beading and unimaginable softness, scarves from Indian brand Janavi are essential wearing for winter and beyond.
Embellished ubersoft scarves from Janavi are beaded just enough to add sophisticated whimsy.
Scarves are ubiquitous this season—it is winter in Chicago, after all—but how often do you come across one that you can build an outfit around? Almost never, says Chicago fashion queen Ikram Goldman. Until now: Goldman has discovered scarves from Delhi-based brand Janavi, and they’ve become some of her favorite things. “I love that these are all-occasion scarves,” says Goldman of the pieces, which are beaded with everything from butterflies to the Chicago skyline (Goldman’s personal favorite).
“Even though they’re beaded and whimsical, the cashmere is the softest, warmest cashmere that you want to wear every day. And what I love most is that these don’t look like all the other scarves out there; they look and feel three-dimensional. These are perfectly beaded and refined, and you can wear them year-round—for summer, they’re lighter in weight and in embroidery.”
Janavi’s biggest endorsement, however, comes from Goldman’s A-list clientele. “They’re yummy,” sums up Goldman. “That’s what my clients say when they put these scarves on.” Prices upon request, 15 E. Huron St., 312.587.1000
