Chicago boutique owner Ikram Goldman has been carrying Italian brand Aquilano Rimondi—the uberchic line from veteran designers Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi—for several seasons now, and she grows more enamored of the duo’s work with each new collection. “They have a playfulness in the way that they present their collection that is very wearable and very resourceful,” explains Goldman. “Also, our clients relate to its comfortable edginess. It’s a gorgeous denim dress, but with a little twist; it’s the perfect fitted pant, or a great-looking jacket with an interesting detail.” Goldman notes the garments’ versatility, saying, “It can be worn during the day, taking your kids to school or going to work, having a luncheon or going out to dinner.”
It all adds up to a collection that Goldman knows will showcase the pair’s impeccable work. “They’ve been around for a long time and have stood the test of time, time and time again,” Goldman sums up. “And I feel that every season, they come up with a whole new twist on wonderful looks.
